Skip A Snack is a mobile application that allows users to photograph snacks they choose not to eat, log estimated calorie savings, track streaks, share skips with friends, and earn treat rewards when calorie milestones are reached.
The app uses AI to identify food items and estimate calorie content. These estimates are approximate and should not be treated as precise nutritional information. Skip A Snack is not a medical, dietary, or clinical tool.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Skip A Snack. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should have parental or guardian consent.
Important: Skip A Snack is not intended to be used as a tool for extreme calorie restriction, disordered eating, or any behaviour that could harm your health. If you are being treated for an eating disorder or related condition, please consult your healthcare provider before using this app.
You access Skip A Snack using a magic link sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping your email account secure. You must not share your access with others or use another person's account.
You can delete your account at any time from the app settings. Upon deletion, all your personal data will be removed within 30 days.
When using Skip A Snack you must not:
You retain ownership of photos you take within the app. By uploading a photo you grant Skip A Snack a limited licence to store and display that photo within the app, including on kudos share cards you choose to share.
You are responsible for ensuring photos you upload do not contain other people's images without their consent, personally identifiable information, or any content that violates applicable law. Skip A Snack reserves the right to remove any content that violates these terms.
Calorie estimates provided by Skip A Snack are generated by AI and are approximate only. They should not be used for medical, dietary, or clinical purposes. Individual calorie needs vary significantly based on age, weight, health status, and other factors.
Skip A Snack is a motivational tool, not a substitute for professional dietary or medical advice. If you have concerns about your diet, weight, or health, please consult a qualified healthcare professional. Skip A Snack is not responsible for any health outcomes resulting from use of the app.
The treat reward mechanic is a motivational feature only. Skip A Snack does not provide, supply, or guarantee any physical food rewards. The rewards shown in the app are suggestions only — whether you choose to treat yourself is entirely your own decision.
When you share a skip, a publicly accessible link is generated. Anyone with that link can view your skip card and give kudos by entering their first name. You should not share links containing photos that include other people or sensitive personal information.
Skip A Snack is not responsible for how shared links are distributed or viewed once you have shared them.
All content, design, code, branding, and materials within Skip A Snack are owned by Skip A Snack Ltd or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the app or website without prior written permission.
The Skip A Snack name, logo, and tagline "Snap it. Skip it. Save it." are proprietary marks of Skip A Snack Ltd.
Skip A Snack uses third party services including Anthropic and Resend to operate. Your use of the app is also subject to the terms of these services where applicable. Skip A Snack is not responsible for the availability or actions of third party services.
We aim to keep Skip A Snack available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Skip A Snack is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, Skip A Snack Ltd excludes all warranties, express or implied, relating to the app and its content.
Skip A Snack Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, health outcomes, or reliance on calorie estimates.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Skip A Snack shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these terms as the app evolves. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
